Hormone Optimization Therapy (H.O.T.)- A Modern Approach to Energy, Balance and Vitality

Are You Experiencing ?

Persistent fatigue, mood changes, and decreased energy levels can be early indicators of subtle hormonal imbalances. Hormone Optimization Therapy (H.O.T.) provides a clinically guided approach to restoring hormonal balance before these symptoms evolve into more serious health issues.

Unlike traditional hormone replacement therapy (HRT), H.O.T. integrates advanced diagnostic testing to evaluate your unique hormonal profile. This individualized treatment is designed to support long-term wellness, rather than offering a one-size-fits-all solution. By targeting the root causes of imbalance, H.O.T. aims to improve overall vitality, mental clarity, sleep quality, and emotional stability.

You might consider H.O.T. if you experience persistent low energy, unexplained mood fluctuations, or other symptoms associated with hormonal shifts such as weight changes or decreased libido. The therapy is tailored to your specific needs, ensuring that hormone levels are carefully optimized—not simply replaced—to promote sustainable health benefits.

Results often include increased energy, mood improvement, enhanced cognitive function, and better resilience to daily stress. With ongoing monitoring and adjustments through telehealth or in-person consultations, Hormone Optimization Therapy supports a holistic approach to well-being, empowering you to reclaim balance at every stage of life.

What is Hormone Optimization Therapy?

Hormone Optimization Therapy (H.O.T.) goes beyond traditional hormone replacement therapy by not just replenishing hormones that the body produces insufficiently, but by precisely fine-tuning hormone levels to promote optimal function and enhance quality of life. This method is designed to help you achieve vitality, improved cognitive function, and balanced metabolism through personalized hormone ranges rather than generalized standards.

Optimization vs. Replacement: Understanding the Difference

While Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) focuses on restoring hormone levels to fall within standard laboratory reference ranges, Hormone Optimization Therapy takes a more nuanced and individualized approach. H.O.T. targets hormone levels that are ideal for you personally—levels associated with peak energy, sharper focus, stable mood, and overall improved physical and mental performance.

This customized approach requires thorough initial assessments, ongoing monitoring, and precise adjustments to treatment, ensuring your hormone balance supports your unique health goals and lifestyle. By prioritizing proactive health management, Hormone Optimization Therapy represents a shift from simply addressing deficiencies to empowering your body to function at its best.

The Science of Hormonal Decline with Age

Hormonal changes are an inevitable aspect of aging, but their impact varies significantly from person to person. As the body ages, hormone-producing glands such as the thyroid, adrenal glands, and ovaries or testes gradually become less efficient. Simultaneously, hormone receptors throughout the body may become less responsive, even when hormone levels are within normal laboratory ranges. A critical part of this process involves the hypothalamic-pituitary axis, which controls and regulates the production and release of many hormones. Over time, this axis becomes less effective, further contributing to hormonal imbalances.

These physiological shifts can manifest as persistent fatigue, unexpected weight fluctuations, difficulty sleeping, and mood instability, among other symptoms. The pace and severity of these changes are influenced by multiple factors, including genetics, lifestyle choices, nutritional habits, and the level of chronic stress an individual experiences.

At NP Empowered Wellness, H.O.T. (Hormone Optimization Therapy) prioritizes a personalized approach because hormone decline and its symptoms are highly individualized. Through comprehensive evaluation and tailored treatment plans, we aim to restore hormonal balance in a way that respects each person’s unique biological and lifestyle context. Our goal is to promote overall wellness and improve quality of life, leveraging modern regenerative medicine alongside holistic care principles. Telehealth services are available to ensure comfort and convenience, so you can embark on your journey to hormonal health wherever you are.

Are your Hormones Optimized?

Many of our hormones exhibit a broad spectrum of what is considered “normal.” For instance, testosterone levels can vary dramatically, with the upper limit of the normal range nearly ten times greater than the lower limit. This significant variability means that being within the normal range doesn’t necessarily equate to optimal hormone function for every individual.

At NP Empowered Wellness, we recognize that hormone optimization goes beyond simply replacing hormones to reach a baseline. Our approach focuses on tailoring hormone levels to what is ideal for your unique physiology and lifestyle, rather than settling for the minimum threshold of normal. By optimizing hormone levels, you can experience enhanced energy, improved mood, better cognitive function, and overall well-being.

Understanding the wide range of normal hormone levels empowers you to pursue a personalized treatment plan that elevates your quality of life, rather than merely addressing deficiency. Through comprehensive assessments and regenerative medicine techniques, we help you achieve hormone balance that supports holistic health and long-lasting vitality.

Why Optimization Matters?

For too long, people have been dealing with things like low energy, more fat, less muscle, and less libido. They would either assume this was a normal part of aging and not go to the doctor, or go to their doctor, who would tell them that their hormone levels are normal when they were on the low end of normal. Yes, the levels were within the normal range — but why not boost low normal levels to higher levels to feel better, have more energy, see better results with working out, and have more sex?

NP Empowered hormone optimization program is designed to enhance well-being by safely optimizing hormone levels rather than treating pathological deficiencies. While most individuals do not have clinically abnormal hormone levels, subtle imbalances can impact energy, mood, and overall health. Our program focuses on individualized assessment and tailored interventions to restore hormonal harmony, helping patients achieve improved vitality and quality of life. This approach prioritizes safety and efficacy, utilizing evidence-based protocols within a medical spa and regenerative medicine setting to support holistic wellness. Telehealth options ensure comfort and accessibility throughout the process.

Male Hormone Optimization: More than just Testosterone

For men, this process involves far more than focusing on testosterone alone. Growth hormone, thyroid function, DHEA, cortisol, and estradiol all work together to influence metabolism, energy, performance, and the symptoms commonly associated with andropause. Although testosterone is often the focal point in discussions about men’s health, it functions within a complex hormonal ecosystem. Elevated cortisol levels, commonly linked to chronic stress, can suppress testosterone production, negatively impacting energy, mood, and muscle strength. Similarly, thyroid imbalances can disrupt metabolism and emotional well-being, complicating symptoms that may be mistaken for low testosterone alone. Fluctuations in other hormones, such as estradiol and DHEA, also play crucial roles in maintaining muscle mass, energy levels, and overall vitality.

Effective treatment, therefore, depends on comprehensive hormone testing. By evaluating the entire hormonal network rather than isolated markers, healthcare providers can develop personalized treatment plans that restore hormonal balance. This holistic approach not only addresses immediate symptoms but also supports long-term health, improved vitality, and enhanced quality of life. At NP Empowered Wellness, our integrated testing and tailored therapies ensure that each patient receives care designed to optimize their unique hormonal profile in a safe and effective manner.

Female Hormone Health: Navigating life's changes

Women experience some of the most significant hormonal shifts during perimenopause and post-menopause, characterized by the natural decline of estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone levels. These changes often lead to symptoms such as hot flashes, sleep disruption, mood swings, and decreased libido, impacting daily comfort and quality of life.

Beyond these immediate symptoms, hormonal fluctuations can also influence critical aspects of health, including bone density, cardiovascular function, and metabolic regulation. Decreased estrogen levels, for instance, are linked to a higher risk of osteoporosis and heart disease, underscoring the importance of monitoring and managing these changes.

An individualized approach to care is essential to address the unique experiences and needs of each woman during this life stage. Through comprehensive evaluation and tailored therapies—including hormone balancing, nutritional support, lifestyle modifications, and regenerative medicine options—women can find relief from disruptive symptoms and promote long-term wellness.

At NP Empowered Wellness, we prioritize customized treatment plans that work with your body’s natural rhythms. Our holistic and medical spa services integrate evidence-based regenerative medicine with compassionate support, ensuring comfort and accessibility through both in-person visits and telehealth. By focusing on the whole person, we aim to empower women to navigate perimenopause and post-menopause with confidence, balance, and vitality.

Comprehensive Testing: Your Hormone Health Blueprint

When reviewing your hormone panel, it’s crucial to interpret your results in the context of your individual symptoms rather than relying solely on broad population-based reference ranges. Standard reference intervals are designed to cover a wide population, which can mask subtle imbalances that affect your well-being.

Optimal hormone levels typically fall within a narrower range, customized to your age, physiology, and clinical goals. This personalized approach ensures that your treatment plan addresses the specific needs of your body, promoting better balance, improved energy, and overall wellness. Always discuss your results with a knowledgeable healthcare provider who can integrate your symptoms, lab values, and lifestyle factors into a comprehensive plan designed for your optimal health.

Reading your results: Beyond normal ranges

While many patients focus on whether their levels fall within standard laboratory reference ranges, ideal hormone health relies on a more nuanced interpretation of these results.

Reference ranges are statistical averages, but they don’t always reflect what’s best for your unique physiology or symptom profile. Your clinician will assess patterns, ratios, and trends to identify suboptimal levels, even if they’re technically “normal.”

This approach is especially critical when considering bioidentical hormones, as precise dosing aims to restore optimal balance and function, not just normalization.

Testosterone is a controlled substance regulated by the FDA and requires prescribing by a licensed healthcare provider with an active DEA registration—which I hold as a Nurse Practitioner. As such, ongoing clinical oversight and follow-up care are not optional—they are legally and medically required.

Commitment Options

Depending on how your prescription is dispensed (monthly delivered vs. multi-month order to pharmacy), you will have either a:

  • 4-month commitment, or

  • 12-month commitment
to NP Empowered Wellness for hormone optimization and follow-up care.

Testosterone Therapy Requirements

To ensure your safety and achieve the best possible results, the following protocols must be followed:

Follow-up Appointments:
You are required to meet with your provider at least every 2 months for follow-up visits. These check-ins are essential to assess symptoms, make dosage adjustments, and ensure overall well-being.

Lab Monitoring:
Comprehensive lab work is required every 2 months until your hormone levels are stable. This helps us make informed decisions about your care and monitor for any potential side effects.

Pharmacy Coordination:
We will send prescriptions to the pharmacy of your choice. Note: All testosterone prescriptions are from licensed, commercial or compound pharmacies only—no research-grade or unregulated sources.

Why Don’t You Offer Hormone Pellets?

At NP Empowered Wellness, we prioritize safe, flexible, FDA Approved and evidence-based hormone therapy. While pellets are popular in some practices, we do not offer them due to:

  • Lack of dosage flexibility (once inserted, they can’t be adjusted)

  • Higher risk of side effects from hormone spikes

  • Limited ability to personalize treatment over time

We believe in meeting regularly with our patients, monitoring labs, and adjusting treatment as needed to ensure optimal results.

Micronized Progesterone

A prescription pill bottle surrounded by a pile of scattered blue and gold capsules and pills against a dark background.
  • Progesterone is a key hormone produced by the ovaries. It plays a vital role in regulating the menstrual cycle and supporting early pregnancy. As women approach perimenopause and menopause, progesterone levels decline, which can contribute to a variety of symptoms.

  • Menstrual Cycle Regulation
Progesterone helps prepare the uterine lining for a possible pregnancy each month and dominates the second half of the cycle (luteal phase).

    Pregnancy Support
Adequate progesterone is necessary to maintain a healthy uterine lining during pregnancy. Low levels may lead to spotting or even miscarriage.

    Hormonal Decline with Age
As the ovaries slow down during perimenopause and menopause, progesterone production naturally decreases, leading to hormone imbalance.

  • Relieve Symptoms
Low progesterone can cause heavy bleeding, insomnia, anxiety, mood swings, and irritability. Replenishment may help restore balance and improve symptoms.

    Protect the Uterus
When using estrogen therapy, progesterone is necessary for women with a uterus to reduce the risk of endometrial (uterine) cancer.

    Support Hormonal Balance
Progesterone is often overlooked but essential for total hormonal harmony. Even women without a uterus may benefit from replacement depending on their symptoms.

  • Women Taking Estrogen with an Intact Uterus
To counteract the thickening effect of estrogen on the uterine lining and reduce cancer risk.

    Women with Specific Symptoms
Those experiencing low progesterone symptoms like anxiety, poor sleep, or abnormal bleeding may benefit from therapy—even if post-hysterectomy.

    Personalized Care Matters
Hormone therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all. A customized plan based on labs and symptoms ensures the safest, most effective results.

  • Micronized progesterone is a bioidentical form of progesterone—meaning it’s structurally identical to what your body naturally produces. It’s derived from plant sources and processed into tiny particles (micronized) to improve absorption when taken orally.

    Benefits of Micronized Progesterone:

    • Better tolerated than synthetic progestins

    • Supports sleep and mood

    • Protects the uterine lining when using estrogen

    • May reduce PMS, anxiety, and night sweats

    • Bioidentical and body-friendly

Compared to synthetic versions, micronized progesterone has a more favorable effect on cholesterol, breast tissue, and mental health.

  • Typically prescribed in capsule form, micronized progesterone is taken orally at bedtime—often ranging from 100–200mg, depending on your needs.

    Instructions:

    • Take at night — it can have a calming, sedative effect

    • With or without food — but taking it with food may enhance absorption

    • Consistent timing is key for hormonal balance

Your exact dose and schedule will be tailored based on your symptoms, labs, and whether you're also using estrogen.

👉 Always follow the guidance of your provider for safe, effective use.

  • Yes—commercially manufactured micronized progesterone (such as Prometrium) is typically formulated in a base of peanut oil to help stabilize the hormone.

If you have a peanut allergy or sensitivity to fillers or dyes, don’t worry—we offer compounded progesterone made in specialty pharmacies without peanut oil, dyes, or unnecessary additives. These custom formulations are tailored to your individual needs and sensitivities.

👉 Always let your provider know about any allergies so we can ensure your hormone therapy is both safe and effective.

Why Don’t You Recommend Progesterone Cream?

While progesterone creams are widely available, they are not recommended at NP Empowered Wellness for several important reasons:

❌ Inconsistent Absorption

While progesterone is often marketed in over-the-counter creams, and made by compound pharmacies, it's important to know that the progesterone molecule is too large to be effectively absorbed through the skin in therapeutic amounts. This means that most topical formulations—which have not been proven effective-may not provide consistent or reliable hormone levels.

❌ Does Not Protect the Uterus

When using estrogen therapy, adequate progesterone is essential to protect the uterine lining. Creams do not provide protection against estrogen-induced endometrial thickening or cancer.

✅ We Use Evidence-Based Options

We prefer oral or vaginal micronized progesterone, which are FDA-approved, bioidentical, and proven to:

  • Protect the uterus

  • Support sleep and mood

  • Maintain hormonal balance safely

👉 Your safety and long-term health are our top priorities. We only recommend treatments with reliable, clinically-proven results.

Estrogen (Estradiol)

Box of Estradiol transdermal system, USP, twice-weekly, 0.05 mg per day, manufactured by Mylan
Box of Evamis estradiol transdermal spray medication for topical use only, containing 1.53 mg of estradiol per spray, with a volume of 0.27 fluid ounces, for prescription use.
A box of Femring vaginal estrogen with purple packaging featuring a floral design.
  • Estradiol is the most potent form of estrogen, a hormone primarily produced by the ovaries. It plays a key role in regulating the menstrual cycle, maintaining bone density, supporting mood, and protecting the heart and brain. During perimenopause and menopause, estradiol levels naturally decline.

  • Estradiol helps:

    • Regulate the menstrual cycle

    • Maintain vaginal and urinary tract health

    • Preserve bone strength

    • Support mood, memory, and cognitive function

    • Protect cardiovascular health

    • Promote skin elasticity and hydration

When estradiol drops, many women experience symptoms like hot flashes, night sweats, mood changes, brain fog, vaginal dryness, and decreased libido.

  • Replacing estrogen—specifically estradiol—can help:

    • Alleviate common menopausal symptoms

    • Protect against bone loss and osteoporosis

    • Improve sleep and energy

    • Support mental clarity and emotional balance

    • Promote vaginal and urinary tract health

Estrogen therapy is about more than symptom relief—it’s also about long-term health protection.

  • Estrogen replacement may be beneficial for:

    • Women experiencing moderate to severe menopause or perimenopause symptoms

    • Women with early menopause or surgical removal of the ovaries

    • Women at risk for osteoporosis or bone loss

    • Women who feel their quality of life is impacted by hormonal decline

Treatment decisions are always individualized based on your symptoms, labs, and medical history.

  • We offer FDA-approved estradiol in several convenient and effective forms:

    • Transdermal patches

    • Topical mist

    • Topical gel

    • Vaginal ring

    • Oral tablet

Each method has its own benefits, and we’ll help you choose the option that best fits your body, lifestyle, and health goals.

  • While estrogen therapy offers significant benefits, it’s not appropriate for everyone. You may not be a candidate for estradiol replacement if you have:

    • A history of breast cancer (especially estrogen receptor-positive)

    • Active or past blood clots (such as DVT or pulmonary embolism)

    • Unexplained vaginal bleeding

    • Liver disease

    • History of stroke or heart attack

    • Known allergy or sensitivity to estradiol or delivery materials (patch adhesives, fillers, etc.)

Even if you have a medical history that raises concern, we take a personalized, risk-based approach. In many cases, non-estrogen alternatives or local (vaginal) estrogen may still be safe and effective options.

👉 A thorough consultation and lab work are essential before starting any hormone therapy.

Testosterone

A box of Testosterone Gel containing 30 unit-dose tubes, each with 5 grams of gel, labeled for prescription use.
A medicine pill bottle with a pink-and-white label and a pink cap, standing upright on a white background.
A vial of testosterone cyponiate injection labeled with 200 mg/mL, alongside its purple and white packaging.
  • Testosterone is often thought of as a “male hormone,” but it’s also essential for women—just in smaller amounts. It’s produced by the ovaries and adrenal glands and plays a key role in energy, mood, libido, muscle strength, and cognitive function.

  • Testosterone helps support:

    • Sexual desire and arousal

    • Lean muscle mass and bone strength

    • Mental clarity and focus

    • Mood stability and motivation

    • Overall vitality and confidence

As women age, especially during perimenopause and menopause, testosterone levels naturally decline—and many women feel the difference.

  • Even before estrogen and progesterone drop significantly, testosterone starts to decline—often as early as your 30s. Replacing testosterone can help:

    • Restore libido and sexual satisfaction

    • Improve mood, confidence, and motivation

    • Boost energy and reduce fatigue

    • Support lean body composition and bone health

This is especially helpful for women who feel "flat," unmotivated, or disconnected from themselves during midlife hormonal shifts.

  • You may benefit from testosterone therapy if you're experiencing:

    • Low libido or sexual dysfunction

    • Persistent fatigue

    • Decreased muscle tone

    • Brain fog or lack of motivation

    • Mood changes or depression unresponsive to other treatments

It's about quality of life—and for many women, testosterone is the missing piece.

  • We do. And here’s the truth:
There is no FDA-approved testosterone product specifically for women—yet.
But this is where evidence-based medicine wins.

We use FDA-approved testosterone gel for men (prescribed at female-appropriate doses) and 503B-regulated compounded testosterone from pharmacies that meet strict safety and quality standards.

    These options are:

    • Backed by clinical research

    • Widely used in women’s hormone therapy

    • Customizable and monitored carefully for safety and efficacy

We believe in safe, personalized care—not one-size-fits-all rules.

  • At NP Empowered Wellness, we offer testosterone in three forms:

    • FDA-approved transdermal gel

    • 503B-compounded topical cream

    • 503B-compounded injections (for appropriate candidates)

Together, we’ll determine the best method based on your symptoms, goals, and lifestyle.

  • Testosterone is the primary male sex hormone, though it’s also present in women in smaller amounts. In men, it’s produced mainly in the testes and plays a vital role in overall health, not just sexual function.

  • Testosterone supports:

    • Sex drive and erectile function

    • Muscle mass and strength

    • Bone density

    • Mood, energy, and motivation

    • Cognitive function and focus

    • Red blood cell production

As men age, testosterone levels naturally decline—often starting in their 30s—and that drop can lead to a variety of symptoms that affect quality of life.

  • When testosterone levels fall below optimal levels, it can lead to:

    • Fatigue and low energy

    • Reduced libido or erectile dysfunction

    • Mood changes, including irritability or depression

    • Loss of muscle mass and increased body fat

    • Difficulty concentrating or memory problems

Testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) restores levels to a healthy range, helping men feel more like themselves again.

  • You may be a candidate for TRT if you have:

    • Documented low testosterone on lab work (usually measured in the morning, on two separate occasions)

    • Symptoms of testosterone deficiency, such as low libido, fatigue, mood changes, or muscle loss

    • Age-related decline with no clear cause but significant impact on daily function

At NP Empowered Wellness, we take a personalized, evidence-based approach—TRT is not about “anti-aging,” it’s about restoring balance and improving your health and vitality.

  • While testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) can be highly beneficial for many men, it’s not appropriate for everyone. You may not be a candidate if you have:

    • Prostate cancer or a history of prostate cancer

    • Elevated PSA levels (prostate-specific antigen) without medical clearance

    • Untreated sleep apnea

    • Uncontrolled heart failure

    • Severe lower urinary tract symptoms (e.g., frequent nighttime urination)

    • Hematocrit levels >54% (high red blood cell count)

    • Fertility concerns – TRT can suppress sperm production

⚠️ Testosterone therapy is not a shortcut or anti-aging fix. It requires proper evaluation, regular lab work, and close monitoring.

At NP Empowered Wellness, we follow evidence-based guidelines to ensure that testosterone therapy is safe, medically appropriate, and tailored to your individual needs.

  • We offer FDA-approved testosterone therapies in multiple forms to fit your needs and lifestyle:

    • Topical gel (daily application)

    • Intramuscular injections (weekly or biweekly)

    • Foam (alternative to gel for some patients)

We’ll work with you to determine the best method, dosing, and follow-up plan for optimal results and safety.

  • While there is an FDA-approved testosterone pellet for men, we do not offer pellet placement at NP Empowered Wellness.

    Here’s why:

    • Lack of flexibility — Once inserted, pellets cannot be adjusted, even if side effects or symptoms arise.

    • Higher risk of hormone spikes and crashes, especially early in the dosing cycle.

    • Limited control over dosage adjustments compared to gels, injections, or creams.

We prioritize safe, personalized, and adjustable testosterone therapy options to ensure your treatment evolves with your body’s needs. Our preferred methods include gels, injections, and foams that allow for close monitoring and dosage customization.

Testosterone Intramuscular or Subcutaneous Injections

A vial of testosterone cyponate injection with a purple and white label, displaying 200 mg/mL dosage in a medical setting.

Intramuscular or Subcutaneous testosterone injections are used to increase testosterone levels in the body. Testosterone is a vital hormone primarily produced by the gonads (testicles in men and ovaries in women) and plays a key role in energy, mood, muscle mass, and sexual health.

At NP Empowered Wellness, your provider will guide you step-by-step on how to safely prepare and administer this injection at home. You'll receive clear instructions and ongoing support to ensure you're comfortable and confident managing your treatment.

Vaginal Estrogen (Estradiol)

  • Vaginal estradiol is a low-dose form of estrogen therapy designed to treat genitourinary symptoms of menopause (GSM), such as vaginal dryness, irritation, burning, painful sex, or urinary frequency. It’s applied locally to the vaginal tissues.

  • Genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM) includes symptoms like vaginal dryness, pain during sex, and urinary issues due to low estrogen levels in menopause. About 50% of postmenopausal women experience these changes, leading to discomfort and affecting their quality of life.

  • Vaginal estradiol:

    • Restores vaginal tissue thickness, moisture, and elasticity

    • Improves comfort during intimacy

    • Reduces vaginal itching, burning, and dryness

    • Supports urinary tract health, helping reduce frequency and urgency

These symptoms are common during and after menopause due to estrogen decline—and vaginal estradiol is one of the most effective ways to treat them.

  • In most cases, novaginal estradiol is not considered systemic.

    • Low-dose vaginal estradiol (like creams, tablets, or rings) delivers estrogen locally, not throughout the bloodstream.

    • It does not significantly raise blood estrogen levels, making it a safer option for women who can't take systemic estrogen.

However, higher-dose vaginal rings (like Femring) can have systemic effects. That’s why we tailor the choice based on your health history and goals.

  • Because local symptoms are often not helped by oral or patch estrogen therapy alone.

    If you're experiencing:

    • Vaginal dryness or pain

    • Painful intercourse

    • Chronic UTIs

    • Urinary urgency or burning

Vaginal estradiol can offer targeted, effective relief with minimal risk.

  • You may be a candidate if you:

    • Have vaginal or urinary symptoms of menopause

    • Are on systemic HRT but still have vaginal dryness

    • Want symptom relief without full-body hormone exposure

    • Cannot take systemic hormones due to past health concerns

  • At NP Empowered Wellness, we offer FDA-approved options tailored to your needs:

    • Estradiol cream

    • Vaginal tablet (Vagifem®)

    • Imvexxy vaginal capsule

    • Vaginal ring (Estring®)

We'll help you select the best option for comfort, convenience, and effectiveness.
